Microsft Movie Maker took over DVD burning

My wife has an LG DVD rewritable drive to burn movies. She was very successful doing what she wanted but now after she allowed Microsoft movie maker updates to download, it took over her LG and now she has everything converted to their movie maker. She is unable to do anything, are there some instructions I can use to avoid Microsoft movie maker and continue to use LG? Thanks very much

Are you using Windows XP or Windows 7?

If in XP, click Start->All Programs->Set Program Access and Defaults
or
Start->All Programs->and look for the Windows Medial Player and Windows Movie Maker set on the right side.

Right click on those to determine which changes you need to make to defaults.
