Motheboard smoking up

I built a computer and I let it run for 4hrs. After those 4hrs, the motherboard smoked up, and a spark took place then there was a little flame. I quickly unplugged everything, and quickly removed the cpu and gpu. I checked my motherboard and, and a chip at the bottom right was burned. My question is, what caused the motherboard to smoke up, and is the cpu, gpu, and ram okay?

Maybe you screwed the motherboard into the case with the standoffs? Those standoffs hold the motherboard up and away from the case. No way to know if the other components are good until you try them in a known good working machine. There is always the risk that they are bad and damaged and they will ruin anything they are put into. There is always a chance. I usually test things like that is a old PC I don't care if I ruin.
