Goodbye, Firefox!
Exactly what I thought too.
If they ask for $5/month and disable addons like uBlock, I'll simply stop using it.

I seriously don't think they will do that. This method is simply an alternative ad-blocking, that also supports sites that were visited. If they ask for $5/month and disable addons like uBlock, I'll simply stop using it.
I hope you're right!I seriously don't think they will do that. This method is simply an alternative ad-blocking, that also supports sites that were visited.
why are you using more than 1 ad blocker? ublock origin handles everything just fine when it comes to ads.
If I'm not, they are going to loose a huge user-base. That might be the final straw that pushes me to using Chrome which I despise.I hope you're right!
The software scene is getting worse and worse with all this subscription crap. They just want us to rent everything. They are pushing real hard in the gaming scene with this - more so lately with streaming games. It's a cancer on society.
videos automatically playing isn't an ad per say, usually. you can stop this by going into the about:config and search media autoplay or something and setting it to false.Because I've found a few sites that no matter what I do, ublock will NOT stop some of the video autoplay crap.
