Mozilla may be hinting at premium, ad-free Firefox for $4.99 a month

why are you using more than 1 ad blocker? ublock origin handles everything just fine when it comes to ads.

Because I've found a few sites that no matter what I do, ublock will NOT stop some of the video autoplay crap.

The software scene is getting worse and worse with all this subscription crap. They just want us to rent everything. They are pushing real hard in the gaming scene with this - more so lately with streaming games. It's a cancer on society.

AMEN to that brother!

I knew when Microsoft brought out a subscription to it's Office suite it was only a matter of time before it happened everywhere.

I will not pay for a subscription service to any software period apart from my internet security package! I am happy to buy software that I believe will be beneficial to me if it is priced reasonably and is not subscription based. Most programs I have brought in past have the the option to buy once and get free life time upgrades and this is what I tend to buy and these are the software houses that I will always support.

But anything subscription based only I will not buy and if your in the know then you can generally find it for free anyway.

videos automatically playing isn't an ad per say, usually. you can stop this by going into the about:config and search media autoplay or something and setting it to false.
