MPAA threatens to disconnect Google from the Internet

Oh my God, I guess you have to be a full blown sociopath, with paranoid delusions of grandeur, to even apply for a job with the MPAA.

This is scary folks, think about it. They're libel to field a "MoomPah" party candidate for president in 2012!
 
Just when I thought that MPAA is already at rock bottom, then this news came up. How silly can they be...
 
I hope this isn't serious, I think there would be a riot if they threatened to end google... and I'd be amongst the rioters hahaha(I'm only joking but it's serious =/).

And besides google's not the only big search engine and people have plenty of other ways to share stuff over the internet, what are film and music studios going to do, ban the internet? AAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHA yeah I would LOVE to see them just try that, and fail badly =P

i think stars and the movie company's make to much money as it is.
 
first off the MPAA is about as powerful as the 11 year old bully down the street...literally like the trash talking fat kid on facebook that has insecurity issues because nobody likes them. Actors and producers make millions a year, I thought acting was a passion, of course today, acting is overrated with the likes of the Jersey Shore, Jerseylicious, Real Housewives of NJ, lets just combine it and say reality TV, Kate plus 8, and stupid movies like most of the adam sandler flicks and remakes of older classic movies.... I wanna see the MPAA shut down google, and then cry because no one will support their actions afterwards when everyone starts to download mass amounts of torrents.

If you watch the Daily Show, you'll probably have noticed if there is some conspiracy or unexplained event in the news/media they will blame NAMBLA. So this does not surprise me.

first time : lots of laughter "put that up on the wall of stupid"

20th time :"eh throw it in the stack... and figure out if anyone is actually downloading stuff from the office"

Looks like somebody at the MPAA is starting to overestimate who they are ("they" being themselves or the MPAA in itself). Somebody's starting to lose it...

Now, we only need to see if somebody will eventually shake them back to their senses... (c'mon Google, you know you want to :D )
 
Google should just remove the MPAA and associated entities from their search engine. It would be like an internet death sentence.
 
Competing for stupidity today, MPAA, Sony... and don't forget Nintendo, whose president has declared $2 games a danger to the industry. It's "Let's change the laws to support our business model!" Day.

I thought these tools were meant to be used to shut down child porn websites, has anyone reported any shut down yet? I'm thinking that the MPAA used this topic to leverage the bill into law and then no one has ever bothered to look into what it was intended to stop.
