MSI's new RTX 3090 looks like a knock-off GTX 480

I signed up to comment on how appalling this article is. It's as if the writer doesn't know things called workstations/servers exist.
This is designed specifically to be stacked side by side in 3RU or 4RU racks, that's why the power connectors are on the short end (as they won't fit otherwise in 3RU), and the backplate is half length to give the next GPU space for air intake.
The world doesn't revolve around RGB.

Yeah, this card 100% looks like MSI trying to get some of that workstation/server $$ that Nvidia would otherwise get all to itself with the way they positioned FE 3090s vs Quadro A6000 (cooler size & type/new NVlink/rear power).

I find it interesting that an article about a novel design on a desirable GPU that lists no price, performance, or testing of any kind is being under attack for being a bad review...

This is a very brief article that talks about the possible benefits of such a card and lists two (2) possible detriments: The fact that the aesthetics are reminiscent of a lackluster time in nVidia's history. The shortened backplate.

Here’s the end of this “not review”..

The MSI GeForce RTX 3090 Aero 24G will be released soon. Purchase at your own peril.

Why does this article even exist?
