Funny thing, Musky is doing EXACTLY the same when he's upset with ANYONE!!

In case you ever come and visit the EU with an open mind, you may experience that by introducing certain basic laws, citizens here actually enjoy a lot more freedom. In that regard, you might want to look up the difference between negative and positive freedom.

At the same time, you may also want to investigate why EU citizens have on average lower mortality, better health...

All in all, there are many reasons why many non-EU people, including Americans, want to live in the EU. Many of these reasons are also the reasons why certain regimes want to get rid of the EU. Their oligarchs are limited in their drive to shamelessly exploit people, and their own population may perhaps develop ideas on how things can be different.

I honestly doubt X has made €120M in Europe, but that’s the EU for you. If they fine Alphabet, Meta, Google, Amazon, Microsoft, X, and others into oblivion, what do they think will happen?

The main question is whether you only want economy (with the majority of benefits flowing to a select few) or if you also want a (civilized) society with rights for the people that actually make up the society. The EU - despite all the flaws - aims to still have a society.

When talking about Russia, many people feel that the USA is starting to look an awful lot like Russia, where there is a great leader and any criticism (opinions; counter-facts) on the leader and the policy is attacked.

But please, break out your usual news sources and investigate yourself. (Unless you truly believe that there are only a few trustworthy sources and sources from the rest of the world are always wrong.)

My personal stance on American companies that don't want to play by the rules is to simply leave that market.

If you don't like the way it is regulated, don't be in said market. Forcing American's style of complete lack of oversight and rules isn't what anyone outside of the USA wants.
