My computer is lagging

I was on the vacation and since I came back home my laptop just started lagging.
All the games that worked perfectly are now lagging (CS:GO, hollow knight, portal 2, terraria, dauntless and hitman 2).Only games that are not lagging are: cod 4 modern warefare, baldis basics and Undertale. I tried everything: I cheched for viruses, updated drivers , cpu and gpu were not overheating they should work fine, I have about 100 gb of free space.

My laptop is acer aspire E 15 E5-553G-F4ZC

Cpu-AMD Quad core processor FX 9800P 3.6GHz
Gpu-AMD Radeon R8 M445DX with 2 GB VRAM

16GB DDR4 memory

256 GB SSD (about 100 left)

Windows 10

Honestly, sometimes a format is the best solution to such problems.

You need to consider that with time windows will get slower as the ssd gets filled up.

You can always take a backup of the data and set up back windows and test it. You've got nothing to lose but some time and a few minutes to backup all your data.

If you don't want to format I'd atleast look at the GPU and CPU clocks. On laptops their speed fluctuate a lot. It may be throttling.. even though u mentioned you checked temps.
