NASA and Firefly release stunning moon sunset and eclipse photos

But Biden's handlers made the decision to abandon our astronauts in orbit for months, just to prevent Musk getting credit before the election for bringing them home.
No, they didn't. Why? As I already explained, SpaceX, was going to get "credit" for bringing the astronauts home whether they came home in September or March. There is no advantage gained politically. Before or after the election matters not.
Biden's handlers should have contacted SpaceX, asking them to bring the astronauts home. They not only didn't do that, but deliberately abandoned them. This is one of the most shameful moments of the Biden's presidency (and the competition is fierce).
This is absolute bullshit, as I already explained and as NASA explained. You are going by Musk's word alone, which doesn't even make sense. I repeat: the only people playing politics with the astronauts are Musk and Trump.

Are you seriously claiming that abandoning people in space weeks before the election had no political implications ???

First, false premise. No one was "abandoning people in space".
Second, the decision wasn't made "a few weeks before the election". In August of 2024, NASA announced the crew would be returning on the SpaceX's Dragon capsule in December of 2025.
That's not a few weeks before the election.
Let's pretend that your claim of a "few weeks before election" was true, even though it isn't. How about you describe what those political implications are? How would delaying the return get people to vote for Kamala instead of Trump?

The decision to reject the SpaceX proposal was made in July. If the proposal wasn't rejected, the astronauts could have been realistically returned in late September / early October, That's weeks before the election. A small delay would have moved the date to days before the election.
Biden's handlers rejected the proposal because they did that simple calculation. They wanted to avoid at any cost positive news associated with Musk (and by extension with Trump) shortly before the vote.

They made the decision to bring back the astronauts on SpaceX's Dragon in August, lol. That's not a few weeks before the election. That's months.

Lmao! That's the best you could come up with? How could letting Trump get credit for bringing them back in March be better than bringing them back in August or September? You still aren't making sense. I do appreciate your endless effort at kissing Trump's and Musk's asses though. The sad thing is, they won't appreciate it. Hey, cheer-up. I had a cultist on Quora claim that Trump saying "I love the uneducated" had a deep meaning behind it, instead of just bragging about the types of people who voted for him. At least you aren't like that lunatic.

In case you're genuinely confused, not just pretending you don't get it - the White House decision to reject the SpaceX proposal was made in July. By rejecting the proposal, Biden's handlers eliminated the risk of SpaceX returning the astronauts just before the election.
In August, when there was only one option remaining - to return the astronauts after the election, NASA made the 'decision' to choose it.

You are the one who is confused. There is no evidence the White House made the decision, except Musk’s empty claim. There was no public announcement in July rejecting Musks offer. NASA and the astronauts themselves(!) deny Musk’s claim. It reminds me of another stupid stunt Musk pulled with a cave and a sub. And there is no risk related to returning the astronauts before the election.
NASA made the decision to choose it.
Yes, they did. As it should be. Musk knows jack **** about space operations. He’s a business man, not an astronaut.

SpaceX proposal was to the White House, not to NASA or the astronauts themselves.
There was no risk related to returning the astronauts before the election for the astronauts themselves, of course. That's a routine procedure for SpaceX, that's why they proposed to return them as early as possible. Only Biden's handlers perceived it as a risk, that's why they rejected the proposal and left the astronauts stranded in space for many more months.

As Musk launches nearly 90% of everything that reaches orbit, he certainly knows a thing or two about space operations.

So says Musk.

This is all fabricated nonsense. They weren’t stranded in space either. As I already said, the Dragon module was docked with ISIS since September. That is the opposite of stranded.

Lmao! Musk doesn’t do **** related to the launches. Musk’s employees (his engineers) do the launches. I didn’t say he knows nothing about it, but he certainly doesn’t know anywhere as much as NASA or his own engineers.

Of course they were stranded. The mission was planned for 8 days but lasted 9 months. It was perfectly possible to return the astronauts half an year earlier, but it didn't happen. That's a textbook definition of stranded.

If it was perfectly possible to return the astronauts 1/2 a year earlier then by definition they weren’t stranded. Their return was delayed, that’s it. The use of the word “stranded” was for political reasons, by Trump.

He he so you're one of those free spirits that refuse to be confined by stuff like logic or reason.
Or definitions, for that matter :) Why bother with them when you can use your own :)
