Need to hide user folders on Windows 2012R2

I found this article from Mark Turner to hide the (useless) user folders in the file explorer on Windows 10:

I works perfectly, but I need this actually for a Windows 2012R2 server machine.
I tried the reg files on a test server but on Windows 2012R2 they do not work.
So the keys must be different on a Windows 2021R2 machine.
Can anyone help how to accomplish the same on Windows Server 2012R2?

I think the 2012 R2 kernel is based on Windows 8.1 so if you can find instructions for that OS it might apply to the server OS?

Yes, you are correct, I did not know that at first. I thought Windows 2012R2 was based on Windows 10. I tried the Windows 8 registry settings and they worked well. Thank you for your reply.

I'm glad you got it sorted out. I'm sorry it took so long for someone to posit in your thread here. I just found it today.
