.NET runtime optimization service eventid 1103

Running windows xp sp3 and received a record in the application log for an error event with eventid 1103. The text of the event is as follows:

source: .net runtime optimization
type: error
categpry: none
eventid: 1103
description: .net runtime optimization service (clr_optimization_v2.0.50727_32) - tried to start a service that wasn't the latest version of clr optimization
service. will shutdown

a microsoft outlook 2007 session had terminated unexpectedly less than one minute before this event occurred . . . . . i'm not sure if the two are related or not.
can anyone shed some light on this error?

imo, dot Net stuff is pure Bull. I've set .net runtime optimization service to Manual Start and XP runs just fine.

I did have one application that wanted it for a special function that I didn't want so I disabled that feature and my system is stable, clean and quick.
