Netflix streaming has been available to iPad users since the device's launch back in April, but starting today the service can also be accessed on the smaller screens of the iPhone and iPod touch. The app lets you access your Instant Queue to view videos you've saved for later viewing, browse by genre or search for specific titles from the service's growing library, and sync with other devices so you can start watching a video on your desktop and resume where you left off on the iPhone.

The app is free and works over Wi-Fi or 3G, though you need to be a paying Netflix subscriber of course. Plans start at $8.99 a month and you can also set up a free 30-day trial. The video streaming service delivers content through the web to game consoles, Blu-ray players, TV sets, and PCs. The latest update adds even more value to users' Netflix accounts. Moreover, the company is said to be working on an Android app to continue expanding its reach.

Yeah but they already have common issues. Not working on iPhone 3G because of IOS 4, iPad users got an update that virtually did nothing to benefit the iPad, for some users the update didn't change the software to work for their iphone or ipod, plus the typical crashing.

However that is cool that we can watch netflix mobile.

Really?

I have touch 2g OS 4.1 and all I can get is sound, no video out on Netflix app. Using Apple component cables.
