Great! Thank you very much...I didn't know Netflix put their stuff out on disc. Your link to Amazon led me to discover that both DD & Punisher-Season 1 are also available to stream from them.

I grew up on these guys reading their early comic books, but the movies were always letdowns (except for Punisher: War Zone), so I didn't bother with these new series. And I rarely watch movies, so a lot of this stuff just passed by me for years. But now I'm looking to buy a new TV, BR player, and maybe Netflix or other subscriptions. Cable just isn't cutting it any longer for their ridiculous prices, constant commercials, and fewer & fewer movies and good shows.

I have not seen all the previous Punisher stuff and did not follow the comics, however, I thought that Netflix's rendition of Punisher was exceptional - equivalent to SyFy's Dune compared to previous versions of Dune.

I suggest that you watch DD S2 before watching Punisher S1. DD S2 has a sizeable Punisher role. Strictly speaking, it is not necessary to watch DD S2 first, but I think doing so does a great job of introducing the character.

Just a reminder, your local library might have what has so far been released on DVD/BR.

I started reading the comics from the 70's-90's, then had to stop because working full-time to pay for going to college full-time pretty much chewed up all my time. Now all these years later, since 2008's Iron Man movie, I'm seeing all my old superheroes come to life thanks to movie making magic than can finally deliver. It's just awesome.

What are these 'libraries' you speak of? I think I remember big buildings with books...but thought they had gone extinct due to the Internet and people not reading any more.
