Sorry to bother you

Kimsland,

Sorry I posted in someone else's thread. Every site I've been to has asked to NOT post a new thread if there is one already posted about the same problem. My problem was very close to the same as the initial post's.

I misread the one post, I thought LookinAround was talking to me when he was talking about dskmgmt.msc My mistake.

I am truly sorry, I will find another site to go to when I need tech advice. Until you posted your nasty posts, I thought I'd found a friendly, helpful site.

I tried to send you a PM to let you know this and let you know how rude I think you are, I can't send a PM until I have 45 posts.

Have a Blessed day.

Paula

Hi Tisso

  • First, and foremost, congrats! :grinthumb I'm glad you solved your problem
  • Second, please let me speak for kimsland as i just happened to notice your post first. I know kimsland well through this forum and i assure you
    • Kimsland didn't intend to be rude or offend
    • Kimsland is a moderator (a very, very busy moderator at that!) If a comment sounded blunt or rude was an unintentional side-effect of being busy. It wasn't intended to sound that way, and certainly not towards a first time member no less! (I'll swear personal testimony to Kimsland's all-in-all good character and intent)
  • I speak confidently for Kimsland (as well as myself) in welcoming you to TechSpot and hope you'll stay in the forum along with all the others on here
That said, I must admit i had a chuckle several hours earlier when realizing there were two different members posting for help
Good or bad of me, i missed that fact as i skimmed through the posts for the question/details! So it was a chuckle upon discovering
=> I could help another person (without knowing i was even trying at the time :) )
=> It explained some mysteries about some conflicts in some of the details i thought i remembered along the way

But regardless, the bottom line:

=> Glad your problem is fixed
=> Speaking for everyone, hope you remain in TechSpot. I think we have a very good group of people who congregate here
=> I think every group probably has their own somewhat different guidelines. So here's some info/links provided to new members and for your review in the future as time/need allows
  • To access technical support you will need to go to Here into the appropriate forum for any problems you may have.
  • You can also access many online TechSpot guides Here
  • Please read Posting Guidelines Here before posting.
  • Guide to Making a Good Post/Thread, Here
  • Also it is customary to post your system specs in your Profile

Hope you'll continue and enjoy your stay at TechSpot :)

Following Looking Around's intruction i was able to take care of my issue. This was on the thread that i started. i was also able to make more than one partition w/ those steps. It being a new drive(internal placed in an enclosure), i wasn't worried about messing up or loosing any files. Thanks again to every one.
