New mobo, cpu and ram - Won't boot

So I just bought a msi b360m pro-vd, and i5 8400, and 2x4 gigs of crucial 2400mhz ram for my gaming rig. But when I turn it on nothing happens on my display. All of my fans are running, and there are lights in the mobo (A white light in the corner). I'm missing the HDD LED+ and HDD LED- front panel sticks, because I can't find them. I also only have 3/4 standoffs

A later problem is that it won't even get powered on.

I just spent alot of money, please help.

Hmm so when you hook up everything the first time and plug in the power switch.
Did it automatically kick on without you pressing the power button ?
Which PC case brand make/model do you have ?
It sounds like a minor misconfiguration hook up but look at this graph here by tomshardware.

See how that guy shows where to put each wire correctly, make sure the wires with the letters are in reverse facing away from the mobo.

I know its hard for you to grasp what I am saying, but look at your mobo manual and it should explain it.
This is how your case wires might need to be set up based on the 5th picture.

Make sure the mobo is not on too tight on the mounting pegs, make sure nothing is bending.
Make sure no screws are loose or stuck underneath the mobo by accident.

Hey! My case is the Fractal design define r3. I've placed the front panel plugs the right places, just like it said in the manual. The problem is that the HDD LED+ Plug and the HDD LED- Plug are missing. Also sometimes the pc turns on, and sometimes it doesn't (When pressing the power button). Do I need to do a cmos reset? I just got a new mobo, cpu and ram. So do I need to do a cmos reset?
