New PC built, can't get a display signal

Hey all,

I recently put together a new Ryzen setup. Everything seems to work ok, minus the fact I can't get it to display anything to the monitor. So far I've tried swapping the ram to different slots, and booting up without the graphics card.

The setup is an Asus x370 pro atx mobo, h100i v2 cooler, hyperx fury ddr4 2100 ram, 128gb ssd, evga 750 psu, Ryzen 1700x, and an rx480 8gb gpu.

It's my first build in a while and I'm worried I could be missing something vital. Any help is appreciated.

Side note: as far as I can tell, my peripherals don't *seem* to be working either. All of them have rgb lighting, yet none of them will turn on while plugged into the computer while it's running
