Hello,

First, I'd like to apologize for my english, I will do my best to write my need.

I am looking to build a new PC this year. At the moment, this is what I have (made in 2018 - for a total of 1520 euros ~ 1610$ - Prices are different anyway, we pay a few bucks more in europe) :

CASE: Bequiet! Silent Base 600
RAM: Corsair LPX 16GO (2x8) DDR4 3000 MHz C15
POWER SUPPLY: Corsair RM550x 80 PLUS Gold
CPU COOLER: be quiet Pure Rock
SSD: 500 Go Samsung 970 Evo NVME M.2
MOTHERBOARD: Gigabyte Z370 AORUS Ultra
CPU: I5-9600K
GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1080 Gaming 8GB

I think that I kinda made a mistake to think my GPU was good to play at 1440P. It was ok, but now new games require too much and even in low settings, the fps are real bad. So with the new GPU generation I would like to enjoy games with better quality with a lot of FPS. I am also considering a nice viewing case, what could you advice me with this :

CASE: Corsair 4000D
RAM: DDR5 - Corsaire Vengeance dominator 6200 MHz
POWER SUPPLY: Corsair RM850x 80 PLUS Gold
CPU COOLER: H100i elite capellix
SSD: Western Digital SSD WD Black SN850X 2 To
MOTHERBOARD: Gigabyte B650 GAMING X AX
CPU: 7700X or 7800X3D
GPU: 4070 TI or 7900XT ?

I feel like this is maybe too much for the GPU. I don't wanna go wrong since it's gonna be pretty expensive. I am arround 2500 euros, using top price from sellers. Honestly I was more aiming for a 2000 euros budget, but I also want to make me a nice computer that I could enjoy and use for some years. I'm not planning to play in 4k resolution.
I will add more informations if needed.

Thank you very much for the future help,

Laurent.

What country are you located?

Get back when you are actually buying it. There is 9 months to go this year and prices will change many times.

So using PCPartPicker, taking the 7700X and 7900XT options, you're looking at around 2300 euros (though hunting around for better prices would be a sensible thing to do):

Both the 7700X and 7900XT may come down in price over the year and combined it may be enough to drop you to 2000 euros (and the same is possibly true for the other parts), but for a 15% difference, it's probably not worth waiting.

Changing the 7900XT for a 4070 Ti wouldn't decrease the total cost by very much, and unless you absolutely want to always use ray tracing or have applications that require CUDA, you're going to be better off sticking with the Radeon.

The 7800X3D will be around 80 euros more expensive than the 7700X when it's released. If you're going to be spending 2300 euros on the above, an extra 80 for a better gaming CPU might be worth it -- it will depend on much you really want to play games at the highest possible frame rates. Personally, I would just stick with the 7700X.

The one thing to note is that the Corsair 4000D doesn't have the best thermal/cooling performance, whereas the Airflow version does, so make sure you get that one, if you want an all-Corsair setup. However, it doesn't come with many fans, so you'll need to budget for some extra ones (and probably a controller for them, too), as the 7900XT is a 300W graphics card -- it'll need a decent amount of airflow around it to stay cool.

I am living in France.
Unlike the Corsair, this case comes with two front intake fans.

Air cooling is less of a hassle and this cooler will work fine for that cpu.

DDR5 6000 seems to be the sweet spot for AM5 and games take advantage of low latency. Low profile RAM so it doesn't impede the cpu cooler.

Wooa thank you so much.

I forgot to mention, I've bought a G-sync monitor, the one I am using. I am scared it wouldn't work well with an AMD GPU. I am pretty sure it's only G-SYNC. ( Acer predator xb271hu )
Is it a matter if I don't change my screen ? I mean I know I would loose G-SYNC technology but is it really a problem ?

For the CPU part, perfect then, the 7700X will do the job then !

For the case, yes, I was a bit confused at the start but you have to be really carefull with the fans.
I think I will use 3 front fans, 1 in the back, then 2 with the watercolling. Will make a total of 6 fans. Yes I'll be carefull to buy the correct case. If I'm right, from what I've seen, the controller is sold with the watercooling then very fans are connected to it. Well you probably knows how it works better than me.

Again thank you, I really appreciate your help.

Thank you very much, you're trying to make me save a few hundred bucks.
I will consider your options. I was looking for a really beautifull computer but maybe the design is too expansive.
Anyway, the case is looking very nice and I like it a lot. I will have a closer look at it.
I have a super noob question, how do you control the aRGB with all the different brands.
If I go with Corsair ICUE, I can use the software. But if I go with fractal fans, deepcool CPU cooler, do you control the aRGB with the motherboard ?
I'm gonna compare with the components you just suggested and see how much I can save.
Again thank you very much, you guys are awesome !

The variable refresh rate (VRR) feature in some G-SYNC monitors works fine with AMD cards, but unfortunately, yours isn't one of them. Without VRR, you may get some screen tearing in a few games, which you may not like to see, especially if you're already used to using G-SYNC.

Overall, there isn't a massive difference between the RX 7900 XT and the 4070 Ti (though it does depend a lot on the game), so if you really do want G-SYNC, then you'll have to get an Nvidia graphics card.

Correct - the H100i Elite Capellix comes with a fan controller unit. The arrangement of fans you're suggesting is sensible -- have the front fans as intake, and all of the others as exhaust (I.e. blowing out of the case).

The DeepCool cpu cooler is controlled by the motherboard.
