New Video Card... no idea how to install

I've upgraded RAM before, but I have no clue how to switch my video card, or even where it's located.

I have a Dell Dimension 2400 PC

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

It appears your computer only has a regular PCI slot available for a card. Hopefully that is the card you have.

If that is true, then you just take the side of your case off, and stick the card in a free PCI slot (likely will be white). I'd recommend putting it in the top one if its free but it probably won't matter. Do this with your computer off and unplugged.

Then keep the monitor connected to where it was before you put the new card in, and then hit Del, F8, F11, F12, F1, or whatever key it is to get into your BIOS. Once in there, navagate to where you can turn your onboard video off. Exit and save. Your screen should go blank at this point, you don't have to turn off your computer at this point (it should be rebooting on its own). Now switch the monitor connection to your new card, and you should get video.
