Now that's interesting about Star Wars going to Blu-Ray. It was my understanding that Lucas didn't want it to go to blu-ray because the hd would make the FX look cheesier than they already are. You'd be able to see wires, blue screen lines, etc.

But as always, money talks. Star Wars junkies will be lining up to get these.

That makes it sound more like Thunderbirds or Captain Scarlett (or however its spelt)! LOL.

I'm not a massive star wars fan, but that would ruin it for me completely!
 
I believe the special effects are going to be an issue but nothing that a few more feet of distance between you and your TV can't fix. Even if it doesn't look awesome (my guess is that it is) every Star Wars fan is going to end up with the collection sooner o later.
