No boot device found. Press any key to reboot the machine_

I did some searching around here and found out how to do an F2 I believe it was and did a diagnostic. It says that the harddrive is disconnected...I stopped there. (Called Dell too, but apparently the tech support has run out).

Help please...and thanx in advance.

This site is the best, some serious heavy hitters in the tech world around here. I called Dell and told them that I had been here and the opinion was that the HD was no good. They still made me run a BIOS scan, which said there was no problems (except the HD wasn't hooked up) and then they had me reseat the HD. Final Dell conclusion was that "the hard drive needs to be replaced"...hahaha. They're gonna do that and the motherboard, and send discs which I didn't have. Anyway, thanx again Tmagic.
