No HDD detected during Windows 10 install

I just replaced my hard drive and am now trying to install win 10 pro onto it. I'm using a bootable USB with the win 10 iso file on it. When I boot up, everything starts off fine and it shows the win 10 install screen. But when it says to choose a hard drive to install windows on, my HDD doesn't show up. All the wires are properly connected. My bios doesn't have an option to view the SATA settings or if there is, I don't know how to get to them. I tried to load drivers but windows doesn't recognize them. My laptop is an HP G15 p168ca notebook. The HDD I'm trying to install is a Hitachi hts72503 320 GB 7200rpm. My bios is an American Megatrends ver f.33. Please help !

I cannot get a fix on your HP laptop model, have you tried HP for testing utility? Next, I would generally say that if you installed it properly, then you have a DOA. Options include: reinstall with careful step by step using installation manual, get help from Hitachi (now a part of Western Digital), return to vendor, look into warranty.
