Your lack of punctuation makes it hard to interpret your post. Are you saying CD's and DVD's play okay?

    MikeWeber you're a noob

    jem webster:

What sound card / integrated sound do you have?
Go to Start > Run > DXdiag and see under "Sound" tab if you have any integrated sound or sound card, when you find it out tell us and we will help you then :D

hi TIMEPARADOX i have a MSI mother board with a intergrated sound running C-Media 9739A audio chip, i have down loaded upgraded drivers for this, all sounds work in a directx test fine, now when i go to System inf and under components/multimedia/audio codecs i find that there is only one listed and that is from MSN, so i then down loaded a codecs kit, again this did not work. Does this help ?
ps i agree with your comments on MikeWeber

No. sorry, maybe I shouldn't have posted cuz it wasn't relevant to your question. Just please don't make 3 posts in a row; just put it all in one post.

sorry, not trying to sound harsh, just some forum advice :)

Jem, instead of adding another post after your own unanswered post, just click your last post and scroll to bottom right corner and click EDIT. Then you can add what you want to your post. It's a "good post etiquette" thing.
Not trying to step on your toes Kitty. Just trying to convey the messege.
