Not sure if this is a windows problem......

My son, when playing his online games, hit a snag.......was given the option to "F10" and did it. Since then my system has been totally messed up. I keep getting at ATD.DLL error, my defrag wont work, all the setting and fonts are changed........numerous problems. I tried using the recovery disks that I made when I got the system, but they won't read. I have a hard time getting on line, my motorola phone stuff won't work to download pics off my phone, my google earth won't work...................any help would be appreciated.

I just found out what part of the problem is.....My error message keeps reading, ATL.DLL..............the DLL stands for, Dynamic Linc Library...............can anyone tell me how to correct this problem?

Hi,

Your son probably downloaded some spyware.

- Try System Restore - (All programs,Accessories/System Tools/) as a short term measure.

- Follow the Techspot spyware removal steps,HERE

- See Using Restore Discs

You have to go into the BIOS HERE

and make the CD/DVD first in the boot order,

then restart the PC, with the first restore disc in the drive.
