Take your "real men" stereo-type and shove-it. I know several real men that never use a computer at all. You speak as if real men didn't exist before computers (and to fine tune it a bit more make that Windows 10).Real men use 10 pro and set group policy to disable on windows update reboot
It doesn't work this way.Did super gamer forget to do the single most important thing when configuring Windows 10? Or is he just a *****? It's really not that hard to configure this to not happen...

Never have I had that happen after configuring this.
I'm equally disgusted that someone would want to watch 9 hours of this, please get a life or kill yourself, do the world a favor.

If you don't schedule your updates windows will schedule it for you and it doesn't care if you have anything important running at this point, it will restart no matter what. It will wake your PC from sleep and do his damn updates for you and restart your machine, he doesn't give a ****.
Crying for what? For having free access to your butt-naked photos? Yes I do actually...It's people who use Windows 7 who see this. Not us. We are in the sun and fun while you guys are crying.

2 ways to address this issue:
1) Place a firewall in between your computer and your modem and block everything that comes from/to Microsoft.
2) Join your PC to a local domain controller and configure WSUS. Once you are ready to have updates installed, you just have to open up the WSUS console and approve the updates you want to install.
You mean more like a troll's lower backside. Probably works at Microsoft. Our state IT guys solved all their Windows problems. Format HDs and install Linux! Seriously! Its turning out to be cheaper in the long run and less hassle. After reading a few articles with Mandark's comments, I'm now certain that this kid's a Troll.
If a real man were to use any version of windows 10, it would be enterprise.
I think a good test case for that might be, M$ still requiring activation for an OS they no longer support, namely XP.Just because something is written in an EULA doesn't mean it is legally binding. A court decides that. The Win7 EULA hasn't been tested. If a condition in the EULA is illegal or unreasonable, that condition would be invalidated and possibly more.
Yeah well, if M$ didn't have really heavyweight "co-conspirators" such as Adobe, I'd be totally on Ubuntu in a flash. <(pun intended). You mean more like a troll's lower backside. No no, a Real man would use DOS.
Don't forget to mention that you should make sure you have addressed the amount of storage you need for WSUS.
Depending on what MS OSes and applications that, you are running in your environment, you won't need a very large storage capacity to save all the updates. A few hundred Gigabyte of storage space is more than enough. I have setup a small domain controller for a private business before with WSUS and so far, the WSUS database hasn't grown that much in size.
The updates that Microsoft releases in general are not that big.
Understood, although since we are talking about home users in the article, I don't know that there are many who would think to address those concerns. Let alone have a home server running WSUS.
