Very useful development. Hopefully this issue is addressed soon - servos around here are using contactless without pin or anything for purchases with what appears to be no limit.

The alternative to an "on button" that I know of is an inhibiting sheath that you put the card into when you aren't using it.

They tried that already. http://www.chipblockers.com (and many others)
Most people including myself find it inconvenient to use.
I think the thumb "on" switch is a great idea.
Yeap inconvenient and people would lose the blockers or forgot to put them back on etc etc.

Maybe a wallet with blocker card sleeves...
