Opera tutorial

That seems odd.

Anyway. Just for this site try this. Log out of the forums. Go to the main page, if you are logged in there, log out. Now, log in to only the main page. Hopefully you get asked to remember the password. If you are logged into the main page and then go to the forums you are logged in on the forums too. Although that isn't going to save your password if you log out and want to use the key to get you back in to only the forums.

I briefly googled how to undo "never for this site" just incase you did do that on accident. Didn't come up with much though.

Just tried logging in to Techspot w/ Opera, 1st time logging in using Opera. I turned on the master password option prior to logging in. Anyway, it didn't ask me whether I want to save password or not.

In Firefox, I logged out and logged in, had to type in user name & pwd since FF didn't have those stored.

For whatever reason, looks like the web site isn't triggering the browser to ask "save password?".

Ok, I've read & done your post SNGX 1275 & read your post Rabbit01 & will just have to be content manually logging in everytime. Thanks for your time & help & have a great Easter.:)

I just tried it too guys. Yep, I'm seeing the same thing. Opera isn't prompting to remember, I'm fairly sure it used to, but it definitely isn't now. I tried logging in through the main page and through the forums. Same result.

Guess we'll have to log in manually. Or just never log out :)

I've never logged out prior to this question. After I run CCleaner I have to re login to some sites including here.:)

I use Roboform for situation like this. It asks whether I want to save password when FF doesn't. I click yes, and it stores the info.

You're welcome. As is (free) Roboform can store 10 log-ins. The paid version doesn't have a limit. Also, if you haven't found out already, it works in various browsers. Works in my FF, IE and Chrome. Probably Opera too.

Yes, so far its working in Opera,FF,SeaMonkey & I think Google Chrome. I don't use IE.

When I logged into the the redesigned Techspot forum, FF asked whether I want it to remember the password or not. Same thing happened in Chrome. The change did something.

Posting to confirm that Opera's Wand does work with TS now that we've moved to the new forum format.

Ok, I just now had to log in BUT, this time I got the option to save it & of course I did so I'm expecting that part to be over. Thank you.:)

Yes, confirmation here too that Opera's Login Wand is working. In fact, it had remembered my login data from before the board redesign, I didn't have to enter them again.
