PalmOne PDA Won't Work With Vista 64 Bit Laptop

Just started using a new Dell Studio 17 laptop. OS is Vista Home Premium, 64 bit. My faithful, reliable, much-loved PalmOne Zire 31 PDA won't work on a 64-bit machine. I am soooooo sad. Any ideas to get them to like/talk to each other? Everybody's told me, "Get a cell phone with pda capability," but I already have a cell phone I like and, frankly, I want to keep my PDA.
