PCIE 2 in PCIE 1

Hi,
All the hot new graphic cards from ati and nvdia are supporting PCIE 2
So here is my question. How big impact (on performance) it will be using those cards in PCIE 1 slot vs using them in PCIE 2 ?
Is it worth to buy a new MB with PCIE 2 along with the new card ?

thanks

PCIe 2.0 effectively doubles bandwidth and offers better flexibility, while maintaining compatibility with PCIe 1.1

Looks like the will fit PCIe 1.1 without an issue

I don't think you should rush out a purchse a new board though.

PCI-E 2.0 is fully backwards compatible with PCI-E 1.1, but you won't be able to use the card at 2.0 speeds, only 1.1 speeds. While something of a bottleneck, this probably isn't too severe an issue unless you are playing Crysis or something similar IMO.
