OK, I think all of you didn't read my comment properly, I guess sarcasm is harder to pickup over a comment section but I was taking the p*ss out of anti-vaxxers. My entire point was that even the most mundain pain killers have side effects, stop crying about vaccinations.

Instead, you all thought I was being serious...

I can't speak to the rest of your respondents, but I merely outlined the actual and proven dangers of OTC pain killers.

But then, walking into the street while diddling with a cell phone can be lethal also..

What I'll never get, is on one hand you have the plain facts that the human population has expanded to the point where it threatens to render the earth uninhabitable for all living species, and yet people will argue for hours that every life is precious and every life must be saved.

I guess it's that big, self aware, brain of ours. But is having evolved to the point of complete Narcissism, really how we'd like to be remembered?

I din't care what the anti-vaxxers do. My hope however, is that they kill one another off. Which is unlikely, since I'm living proof that measles, mumps, and chicken pox are all easily survivable.

Doctors will line their pockets, living a grandiose lifestyle, while offering false hope to unfortunate individuals and their parents, by allowing those who really don't belong in the gene pool, to survive.

Yes, I know I have a bad attitude. But you can't say I'm not honest and pragmatic.

And like I've said before, as depressing as it might be, I still think Thanos was on the right track.

Oh for "god's" sake, I've gotten a flu shot for the last 20 years. The only "side effect" I've encountered is being vexed and overwhelmingly annoyed listening to a bunch of snowflakes preach about religious salvation and vaccine side effects.

Oh, and the "right to life crowd" are a**holes as well. They don't want women to terminate pregnancies, but don't want to pick up the tab for raising "the kids they save", either.

I say, "Roe v. Wade forever". I may be "morally bankrupt", but being "morally rich", does nothing for your bank account either.

You’re still WAY better off getting the flu vaccine than not.... and if you work with the elderly or small children, it should be illegal not to, as they can die from influenza while you just get “sick”.

From what I understand the anti vaxxers (most) are concerned with allergic reactions to the agent (Aluminum or other material) that causes the immune system response necessary to transfer immunity from inert viruses.

It is a real thing and there is no interest in developing a screening process for children to determine if they may have an allergy.

Yes, personal experience should always trump hard data and researched facts.... can immunizations improve? Undoubtedly!
But should you not get vaccinated in fear of a ridiculously low risk of complications and endanger EVERYONE else around you?!? NO!!!

And what is the proof that a death **years** after someone got a vaccination that their death is a result of the vax? Please share any actual data related to that anecdote.

Yeah, that's obviously complete nonsense.

Sure there is a very small percentage of kids injured or even killed by vaccines, but the odds of being injured or killed by everyone not vaccinating is exponentially higher. People just plain don't like that fact though.

I took a biology class, the teach was very much a proponent of vaccines but she was saying the skepticism is good, to a degree, because having the public paying attention to the companies making these vaccines holds them accountable into making sure they have their ducks in a row.

The problem I have with this is that 'the public' in general has absolutely no idea how vaccines work or what goes into making them, nor whether any adverse effects experienced or witnessed after vaccination are actually caused by the vaccination. So it's not like buying a television (something of which I'm sure the general public also has no idea how it really works) and spotting some defect or quality issue.
A such they have absolutely no rational basis on which to critique or judge the efforts of the companies making the vaccines. Instead, they rely on blogs, rumours, hearsay or "gut feeling" which isn't really helpful in making anything better.

The (current) expansion of the population has less to do with saving lives and more with a lack of birth control (especially in Africa). Populations in most developed countries are actually declining due to low birth counts (although usually offset generously by mass immigration).
