Solved Pop-ups/clickers when browsing web

Thank you. As soon as I can get back onto the computer, probably tomorrow, I will do all of the above and let you know how it is looking.

Just as a quick question for now: I also have AVG, SuperAntiSpyware, and Spybot Search and Destroy on the PC (I have uninstalled the AVG Tuneup programs). With the above recommended scanners you mentioned (Malwarebytes, AdwCleaner, etc), is it a good thing to also have those on top, or should I remove the likes of AVG, SASW or Spybot? e.g. is it best to only stick with what you mentioned, or is more better?

Junkware Removal Tool looks to be stopping support, and recommends to use Malwarebytes anyway, so that's not a problem. And FileHippo doesn't seem to want to work properly for me, but PSI looks like it does the job fine to keep up to date with programs.

Thanks for now. I'll get back to you once I've got back to the computer hopefully tomorrow.

AVG is your antivirus program so you keep it.
Superantispyware is fine.
I'd uninstall Spybot.

Hi Broni.

Okay, I did everything you listed and everything is looking great.

However, the Malwarebytes scan did pick up "PUP.Optional.CrossRider". Not sure how that appeared or what it is, but I quarantined it.

All other scans were clean, including AdwCleaner, and I have updated all programs through PSI.

The one issue I do have is like I mentioned earlier, where the computer just runs extremely slow in general - from bootup, to shutdown, to loading a program, to loading a website...it takes forever. I'll do like you said though, and visit the Windows forum here.

I'll attach the full Malwarebytes log below, just in case it helps:

Alright, resetting Firefox looks to have fixed that. MBAM scan was clean.

I'm thinking the slowness of the PC is due to it being a few years old now, and just can't keep up with the newest OS and updates. Not sure there is any other obvious reason.

I'll try to have a look on here and perhaps post a new thread on it.

Otherwise, Broni, thanks so much for your help! Really appreciate you helping me over the last week or so. I'll be using these new scan programs on my own laptop to keep it secure too, so I've learned a few things.

Thank you and all the best!

You're very welcome
