Problem downloading videos from youtube.

I have been using ytd video downloader to download videos from youtube for years now with great results. But recently I have been unable to do just about anything at all. I use the pro version of the downloader because I can convert the file type to AVI from MP4 automatically and also it supports multiple downloads at one time. But now, if I can get a file to download at all, It may convert 1 out of 10 to the file type I want and the rest of them fail. It is also extremely slow to download any file at all, whereas, it will report download speeds of up to 500 mbs to maybe 2 gbs per second, which it used to do routinely. I have emailed the folks at youtube a couple of times with the promise that they will look into it with at least 2 business days. So far with no results. I was just wondering if any one else knew anything about this or might have the same problem. I have reset the software license, transferred the software to another laprtop, turned off windows defender and malware antivirus on both laptops, and have use 2 different routers and a cell phone hotspot with no results. Cleared cookies on both laptops and reset wifi adaptors with no results also. Is there anyone who might have some ideas?

Try these,
Check for Updates to YTD Pro: If you’re not on the absolute latest build, update it. If their devs haven’t patched for the latest YouTube changes, it won’t work reliably no matter what you try.
  • Disable Multi-Threading in YTD: Some users report that simultaneous downloads now fail more often due to YouTube throttling chunked connections. Try forcing single download mode.

It’s probably not your setup. Youtube changes things on their end pretty often, and downloaders like YTD usually break until they get updated. If YTD hasn’t pushed an update yet, you’ll either have to wait or try another downloader that’s updated more regularly.

This is happening because YouTube has changed its anti-download mechanisms, causing slow speeds, failed conversions. It’s not your PC or network; you’ll need to wait for a YTD update or switch to a newer, actively maintained downloader that supports current YouTube changes.

Thanx, they said they did that in an email to me but it still don't work. I think what it is is to get rid of some warm body in charge and get a real tehcnician to run the show. Maybe someone like Elon Musk.
