Yes, and thats why i stated, most people buy them because of the blue ray player and not for games.

My only disappointment with the new 40GB model is the lack of PS2 backwards compatibility, oddly though it does play all PS1 games, even the PSP emulates PS1 games. I really hope Sony intends to add PS2 BC in some type of update but right now that chance seem very slim. I never owned a PS2 but when I bought my 20GB PS3 I also picked up RE4, GT4 and Black because they were all PS2 games I had missed out on. I also think that 40GB is going to be more than enough for an average gamer. I regularly have to delete demos and videos on mine so I have space for more though I do plan on upgrading the HDD to a 120GB by the end of the year.
