Questions about a SATA/EIDE CONTROLLER CARD

This is the card I want to add to use my 2 DVD ROM's and HDD.
My MoBo has only 1 EIDE plug.
The last one did not work with the DVD due to no ATAPI device compatability. Will this one work for the DVD ROMs

I don't forsee any issues as long as you have a free slot. Ensure your DVD roms on on 1 channel as a slave/master and your HDD is on a second channel. Use the card only to avoid potential conflicts with the mobo. I would suggest however to get a card with TWO channels, not one.

Yes, it will work great.
However, it only has one EIDE port of channel... at least mine has only one.

was going to put the HDD on the Controller and the 2 DVDs on the MoBo as a Master/slave.
Is that a working set up?
