RAM or Mobo?

A friend of mine has his computer BSODing and freezing up. He ran memtest and got over 100,000 errors before the first pass. I put his ram in my computer and ran the test and had 0 errors after about 3 passes. Does that indicate a possibility that his motherboard could be on it's way out or even the RAM slots are shot? It's a 2 month old computer and the BSOD's started happening about a week after he got it.

We need the make and model of the motherboard and make and type of RAM including the voltage specs as designed by the manufacture. If the motherboard is either Asus or Gigabyte find out if the RAM is on their qualified vendors list (QVL) for this particular board. Keep in mind the list is no exshaustive.

In order to do the following the memory in question needs to be reinstalled in the motherboard: Find the voltage specs of your RAM and compare it to the voltage setting in the BIOS. Do they match?
