So... My audio drivers have been crashing my pc recently and I tried updating the drivers to no avail and ended up just removing my soundcard. I have an ASUS suoreme-fx rev.1.04g card and I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction to fixing this problem.

So what was the sound card you removed?

Go out and buy a PCI sound card like the Creative line of cards and see if the sound returns to normal without affecting your system in a bad way

I'm sure it wouldn't but I have $5 to my name ATM.

This might help you out more. The previous topic.

In your earlier post you said you "ran full chkdsk" but not sure what that is supposed to mean.

Did you run chkdsk /r. If you don't have /r (which looks for and fixes bad sectors) it wasn't a "full" chkdsk.

For CPU do you mean: Core 2 Duo E6700 (2.66GHz)?

What version BIOS are you running?
