Realtek ac97

when i plug my speakers in it says "Please stop other audio aplications before starting" but there is no applications running. try'd every thing i can think of even formated but still no sound. does anyone Know how to fix this

Perhaps you have the incorrect RealTek AC97 driver installed? or that it doesn't like your repeatedly plugging in the speakers.
Doi you have any red or yellow flags in the Device Manager?

nothing in device management, trying to find the audio drivers for the mother board but not sure which is the right one. i have foxconn n15235

If there are no flags in the Device Manager, then you have the correct drivers...
It is possible the audio has been overdriven as is no longer viable as an audio source.

so wat would you sugest doing

Look in the add/remove programs for the realtek audio drivers. Remove and reboot.
Does the OS install drivers or otherwise prompt you ?
