My husband somehow deleted some videos off our flipvideo camcorder. I used a recovery program to restore the files, 1 out of 3 videos play. I understand there is software I can use in order to repair the files. I assume they are corrupted. No matter what I do I cannot play them. Please help!

One method that has worked for other people is just to rename the files that won't play.
But once the files are deleted, the space they used up on the card is then reused by the next recording made, (or can be). So unless the recovery is done straight away, the files that were deleted are partially or totally written over.
In that case, you are not likely to recover them.
Same applies to .jpg ,.avi or MP4 files.
One thing you can try, is to open the files in a video editor program, see if any images show up. Then cut out the damaged part and save again.

VLC is usually is quite tolerant and will continue to try to play, even if it encounters errors.
