Remove XP Home & install XP Pro on SATA disk

I purchased a new Dell laptop with XP Home and a SATA disk. But I want to install XP Pro on it. Will I have to slipstream the SATA/RAID drivers when I install XP Pro on the laptop?

No, you should be able to just install as normal and add the drivers later. Almost all SATA controllers work in XP without drivers.
