Hey, has anyone ever heard of this? I have a Del laptop that told me a needed to update my video drivers, so I did and all hell broke loose. I finally had to pull the drive out and hook it by USB to another system (also running AVG) and scanned it. It said I had only two virii, both Win32/Heur oin the updated ATI drivers. After it scanned I used AVG on the desktop computer to quarantine the files and heal them. It told it couldn't because they longer existed. Then when I tried to look at the contents of that partition, it was blank. When I ut it back in the laptop, it tried to boot but fails saying no bootable media exists.

I hooked it back up to the desktop and I can still see the drive but no files? Any clues on what I've done?

Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Sorry I can't give any log files but they're just vanished...

Unfortunately, it looks like another case of AVG false positive messing things up.
Since I don't think this is an infection case, I suggest, you start new topic at Windows forum.
