Blame Hollywood as well. The average shot length (time between cuts) in movies and film has steadily dropped over the last 50 years down its present value of just 2.5 seconds.

I would argue that most people don't understand how most things work. Condensation is a big word and sounds sciencey so that right there does not put the odds in most people's favor

Unfortunately an IP rating does not really help that much with condensation. Even with the best waterproofing, your phone is not airtight. Condensation still happens inside.

Too many people want thought instructions from a screen. The people who refuse to think for themselves are a danger not only to themselves but also all the rest of us. Societies are damaged from within. Scary times.

It would be one thing if these people only impacted their own lives, but they drive, and vote, and create new people just like themselves.

There have always been lazy and apathetic people, but social media and 24/7 political propaganda have turned them into weapons of mass destruction. So many people are now proudly primitive thinkers. They actively reject science and dismiss anything they don't understand. These people are a real danger to us all.

No. IMHO the vast majority of people lack the knowledge of how anything more complicated than a toaster works. But in the past they also listened to people who had better knowledge and the critical thinking skills to apply it.
