Putin tried to reason with them, they didn't listen. They were arrogant. And, as a matter of fact, I am also paying for their arrogance and stupidity.
Your concept of "reason", is to continue with a puppet regime in Ukraine run by Putin? The same type you have in Belarus?

As for gas prices, maybe ir is time for Americans to reevaluate their need for huge for guzzling cars, and their opposition to nuclear power plants.

Better than the actual one, yes. I am also, just like Quantum, against this woke thing that is changing my way of life for the worse. Everything that is happening now is taking away my freedom of choice and my way of life, making it impossible to live like I used to. They are imposing their agenda, they are pushing everything without blinking an eye. From telling you how many animals you can grow in your back yard to what you can heat your house with and so many other crap. Maybe Putin is not a good guy, but as long as he is against these guys I'm with him. Putin is not ****ing my life, these guys do. They decide for my life, not Putin. Fk them!

There should be no puppet regime, there should be a normal regime that should live peacefully with their neighbors and not provoke them like they did. This one was not doing that. And in the end, the damage is done here and not in the US. But if I had to choose, I would take a Putin regime. For the ballance of power.

As opposed to a puppet regime ran by the Biden Administration? Even before the war, Ukraine stripped its ethnic Russian citizens of the right to vote, to hold office, and even to speak their own language -- equivalent to the US telling it's African-American citizens they can't vote, and their Hispanic citizens they're not allowed to speak Spanish. And after Zelensky's election, he banned opposition political parties and non state-run media. Men attempting to flee the country are arrested, and anyone who speaks out against Zelensky's policies are arrested for treason far faster than anyone would be in Russia ... they even are having Ukrainians who fled the country *before* the war arrested for criticizing Zelensky (the case of Anatoliy Shariy in Spain as just one example).

As for this supposedly "entirely unprovoked" war; European media reported the provocations in detail, from Zelensky's threats to re-acquire nuclear weapons and attack Russia directly; to their abandonment of the previously-agreed upon Minsk Accords; to various Ukrainian ultranationalist groups trying to "racially purify" Donbas of its ethnic Russian Jews; to the Ukraine government's cutting off of the entire freshwater supply to the civilians of Crimea. It's difficult to call any war ever justified ... but anyone who justifies the US's attacks on Syria, Serbia, Libya, or Yemen, or their killing of 200,000 Iraqi civilians in search of illusory WMD, will be hypocritical to criticize Russia here.

I feel for you, (sort of). We all want to have our cake and eat it too.

I'm actually a "moderate", and I'm well aware that's a dying breed. I mean really, I think we should have abortions legal under federal law, and the 2nd Amendment should stay put, just as it is. What kind of crazy talk is that?

As for the explosion of gun violence in US inner cities, this might serve to explaon some of it:
