Scientists create bendable concrete to better withstand natural disasters

Sagging ruined concrete floors sure beats a rigid one falling on your head!! during an earthquake.
This video isn't enough to judge it on. Put a building through the earthquake simulator.
Is it more or less fire resistant? For example a jet slams into the building and 22,000 lbs of jet fuel is burning.
 
This is very interesting. People like these deserve a lot of credit and more publicity.
They could use the flexible concrete, I think, for bridges, for making stacks and layers of them in order to absorb shock and noise. Is this even possible though? How could you make a rock that is flexible and that can wiggle? Amazing.
 
Useless, absolutely useless. It registers the degree of deflection but since it won't return to it's origional shape it will have to be removed and replaced. Take that plus the environmental impact and this so called "expert" needs to go back to the drawing board and try again .......

If you were driving across a bridge during an earthquake, would you rather the bridge deform or snap clean in half?
