Hi all, hope we are all well?. New to this but need help....
My PC is being a pain in the butt: If I run AVG the computer seems to lock up.
Then I get the BSOD with the following text:
STOP: 0x0000000A (0x0000000F,0x000000F,0x00000000,0x804DAB1B)

Once I restart the damn thing, I recieve this in a dialogue box:

The system has recovered from a serious error.

A log of this error as been created

BCCode: 10000000a BCP1:0000000F BCP2: 000000FF BCP3: 00000000 BCP4:804DAB1B OSVer:5_1_2600 SP:3_0 Product 256_1

I haven't got a clue what the hell this is??? Please can someone help me.....PLEASE!!

It appears from the BCCode that you may have a memory module failure.
Suggest you download and run the free MemTest86, then run the test for four hours or seven passes, whichever is longerf. One module at a time. Do not attempt to test the memory with two modules installed.
Then if MemTest86 reports ANY errors, replace the memory.
Your next suspect is an infestation that is avoiding removal. Try something other than AVG as a test.
The other suspect is your video graphics card if you have one.
You did not report which version of AVG you are using, but I would also remove AVG and instead use Avira Antivir or Avast, along with Windows Defender, MalwareBytes, and SuperAntiSpyware.

I was using AVG Free 8.5, I have now deleted this and installed Avira, which in turn found 2 viruses. At present things seem stable, but if anything else should bob up I will let you know.....Cheers Jay
