Signal Strength really weak

Wirless is connected.... but no internet..

Hey, I've got a desktop pc with a wireless card.

The desktop wirless card is a Linksys Wireless-G PCI adapter.

I've got full signal strength to my network, however I cannot get online. I'm able to get online with the laptop using the same network, just not the PC.

Any suggestions?

I've played with firewall settings, didnt change anything.

I'd say that either the wireless router is sending a weak signal or the PCI adapter is failing. Are you getting an error message like you have limited or no connectivity?

Put the computer next to the wireless router when testing/trying to connect. That will remove signal strength as factor. Are you sure you have all the connection settings correct? you might want to uninstall / reinstall the wireless driver in Device Manager then re-enter your network SSID and password and try connect again.

Also, you don't have anything like MAC address blocking set in your router do you? which would stop it from allowing the computer to connect
