I've never posted on this site before, but I figured I'd give it a try, since I saw this asked alot here when I was searching for answers.
I installed a new expansion pack, and when I try to run the game an error pops up that says "Failed to enumerate any DirectX 9 compatible graphics adapters in this system! Please make sure you have a DirectX 9 compatible graphics adapter and have installed the latest manufacturer provided driver. The application will now terminate..."
I've looked around and apparently this is a very common problem...but it also seems like everyone else is able to fix it, and I can't! I've updated my drivers, installed the newest version of directx 9, reinstalled the game...everything.
My laptop is..
Alienware Aurora m7900
AMD Turion 64 2.4ghz
2gb ram
DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)
Nvidia GeForce Go 7900 GS, 512 mb
Everything is enabled, did all the tests in dxdiag, no errors, no nothing. It all seems to be perfectly fine.
Am I downloading the wrong drivers, maybe?
