Sims 2 error (Free Time)

I installed The Sims Free Time. Everything went smoothly. Then when I tried playing it it says PLEASE INSERT THE ORIGINAL DISC INSTEAD OF A BACKUP(4001). I tried uninstalling and re-installing. But nothing changes. I went on ahead installed on my mothers computer to try and see if it works and it did. It played and everything. It just said that on my laptop. I have an old computer. The model is Compaq Presario CQ60 Notebook PC. Can anyone help me out?
