I started up an old computer today, to have it say 'Athlon XP 2800+, 1.83ghz'... then just sit there. if I tried setup it would detect one IDE drive, and that's it. I restarted many times and managed to get it to boot up. Seems a little unstable though... I only want to go inside it if I really have to, it's a pain getting the case back on and I don't have much time  I have tested the drives and they're fine... any thoughts?

Athlon XP 2800+ 754 OC'ed to 1.83ghz, 10% increase
1GB stick of kingston
Maxtor ATA 20GB, Maxtor ATA 40GB, 30GB SATA (unknown make)
SiS something, award BIOS
6600GT
350w Hiper

Thanks, I'm lost here
EDIT: wrong forum, damn...

Kill the overclock and see what happens. Reset to BIOS defaults, see how it boots then. If it works fine, then start adding back what you had changed in the BIOS. You could also test your RAM.

After that, you'll want to open up the case and reseat everything.
