Need help quickly. We purchased a Sony PC running windows 8. However, it locked me out after first shut down. My password, whihc I am absolutely sure was correct, was denied. Now we are not very, very tech savvy, but enough to set up our stuff, and have had computers since Atari. I returned the unit to Best Buy, and their Geeks are "systems restoring". When I g today, I need to make a choice between a the same unit, but new, or purchase an iMac. Husband primary user and needs Quicken. He does not like change. We do not game, nor do sophisticated projects. Suggestions, please.

Go with what you know - - less learning curve and you will feel better about the money spent. Buyers remorse begins with "I spent all this money and _ _ _ (fillin the blanks).
If your background is windows, then if at all possible get Windows 7 Pro instead of Windows 8/anything.
