StoreMI Question

I have just purchased a new gaming rig with the following setup:

• Amd Ryzen 5 2600
• ASROCK B450M Pro4
• 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance Led DDR4 300
• 500GB Sansung 970EVO NVMe
• 1TB Barracuda Sata HDD

My questions are in relation to installing StoreMI.
1. Should I link the NVMe (boot drive) and Sata HDD drive, or
2. Install a 2nd 120GB Sata 3 SSD and link that with the Sata HDD?

My system will mainly be used for online multiplayer gaming (e.g. Battlefield 5), media library and word processing.

Option 2.

That way the 120GB SSD will act as a dedicated cache. Do note that StoreMI takes a few runs to cache the game properly. You'll see the same or worse performance on run 1 as the drive is caching data. After that you'll see nice improvements on run 2. You'll also see performance increase on runs 3 and 4 as well. Once everything is cached you should be getting SSD like performance on your HDD.
