Symantec Proxy Error - Can't Stop The Messages

HI !!

I just recently bought Norton 2006 (Big mistake I realise now) and seem to have been infected by a virus. After about 30 seconds my computer has tried to send out approx 20 emails, with each time a little window appears stating "SYMANTEC PROXY ERROR". Of course Norton doesn't find anything wrong !!!

Attached is a copy of the logfile from hijack this, can someone take a look and let me know if they see anything wrong and also let me know how I can locate this virus and delete it.
