Every American is tracked everyday in a multitude of ways. Every transaction, every website, phones, computers, street and redlight cameras. The government owns our social security number along with every other piece of information about us. But somehow it is wrong to track those who are coming into our country? What kind of fresh hell is this?

Ok, and the fact you think this is lunatic drivel, shows those with a sense of reality, you are blind. Rabid insecurities of losing our countries identity and way of life are real. Seriously, really take a look at your history, not just some wiki page. Dig deep and you will see how our current status is similar to the decline of the Roman Republic. The way the Left is slowly "fundamentally changing America" is leading to a path of Socialism, which is a stepping stone to Communism (quote from the official Marxist site). Our very old people (those who survived WWII Germany and Russia) telling us we are headed in the same direction (before Trump wanted to run for office). Do your damn research with an open mind but a patriotic mind and you too will easily see the similarities and be thankful it will not continue for 4 years.

I am not a conservative. I am not a Republican. I am an American and former service member. I am an independent voter for the simple reason that both sides are not perfect and we should elect based on the candidates stance on topics not their political affiliation, race, religion, or sex. Voting is to do what is best for America, not your pockets! By all means, keep living in your fantasy world, be ignorant as you claim us to be and when the crisis is averted no one will notice but when it happens, I will proudly sit in my home, gun in hand thinking I told you so.

A registry is a bad idea.... sure has a whiff of Hitler about it. You can't target an entire group of people based on religion, that just isn't moral. Everyone needs to be scrutinized equally.

Also continue efforts in public surveillance, with trained staff to look for suspicious activity occurring in populated areas. On top of that, monitoring web communications that freely goes through the internet, and anything suspicious they need to get a warrant to search deeper. Finally efforts by citizens, family members, friends, and anonymous but observant people can report suspicious behavior to law enforcement.

You mention Hitler in regards to a registry, yet in the next paragraph you say continue public surveillance. You say monitor web comms and to have people report on suspicious behavior. DO YOU NOT KNOW WHAT THE GESTAPO DID!? You just described what the did and said a registry reminds you of Hitler and is a bad idea. How is infringing on the freedoms of other Americans Okay with you?! Is it because you are not too well informed to know this was done in the past. And that you are wrong, most terrorist attacks have been by multiple terrorists. Most in the US have been single attacker, but you did not specify. Generalizing terrorist attacks is no different to me, than saying a Muslim registry is the same as Hitler's Jewish register, but it's ok to infringe on peoples freedoms. You are Okay with one, but not the other, when in fact BOTH are equally bad, considering the purpose they are intended.

I am all for more people to become Americans. It has many benefits. However, that is providing they do one important thing.... Integrate! They must be willing to renounce any loyalty to their previous country. You can have your faith, you can have your traditions, but you can not wish or conduct any harm against the country in which you wish to become a citizen. Regardless of how they become a citizen, be it by birth, naturalization, or asylum, all people must go through a process of vetting and education. The fact we do not do the pledge of allegiance in schools anymore is sad and contributes to a sense of indifference to the nation, let alone the re-enforcement of national pride and identity.

Never again will there be a Hitler, so long as we learn from our past. Yet so many choose to be ignorant of it.
